The Fourth Annual Triwizard TriMile Race features a flat, fast race course in Radford’s Bisset park — but most of the runners in this Harry Potter themed event won’t be focused on speed.
Nope — the costumes (optional but encouraged), competitions, magical swag, Potter activities, and, all-around camaraderie are the focus of this family-friendly, pet-friendly event that features age groups awards starting for young wizards ages 3-5.
Best of all — all proceeds from the race benefit Literacy Volunteers of the New River Valley. “We solemnly swear we are up to so much good,” says LVNRV executive director Linda Jilk. “Your support will help us win the battle against illiteracy. Accio literacy!”
